Restoring The American Dream

by Robert Ringer, Restoring The American Dream Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Restoring The American Dream books, Completely updated edition of one of the classic works of conservative literature Long before the advent of conservative talk radio and Fox News, Robert Ringer was an outspoken advocate for the cause of freedom and free enterprise. In this classic work–updated for the 21st century–Ringer’s basic premise is that liberty must be given a higher priority than all other objectives. The economic and political calamity that he warned about in the late seventies is now upon us, and his new edition of Restoring the American Dream is sure to resonate with the feelings of today’s angry voters. In his book, Ringer explains that: • The American Dream is not about increased government benefits and government-created “rights,” but, rather, about individualism, self responsibility, and freedom–including the freedom to succeed or fail on one’s own • The barbarians are not at the gates; they are already inside • Ordinary citizens no longer tell their elected officials what to do. Rather, government tells them what to do–and backs it up with force • The desire of people to band together to bring about quick, short term solutions to their problems through government intervention has perpetuated a cycle that has nearly destroyed the American Dream With Washington continuing to expand government power and spending at a record pace, Restoring the American Dream is a voice of sanity in a world gone mad.

Restoring The American Dream

by Thomas A. Kochan, Restoring The American Dream Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Restoring The American Dream books, Many American families have not prospered in the new "knowledge economy." The layoffs, restructurings, and wage and benefit cuts that have followed the short-lived boom of the 1990s threaten our deeply held values of justice, fairness, family, and work. These values -- and not those superficial ones political pollsters ask about -- are the foundation of the American dream of good jobs, fair pay, and opportunities for all. In this call to action for families, business, labor, and government, Thomas Kochan outlines ways in which we can empower working families to earn a good living by doing satisfying work while still having time for family and community life.We cannot make the transition to a knowledge economy, writes Kochan, with a workforce that is stressed, frustrated, and insecure. Businesses need to rebuild relationships with their employees based on trust. And working families need to take control of their own destinies. First, we can take action that goes beyond the workplace buzzwords flexible and family friendly to design systems that support productive work and healthy family life. We can invest in better basic education and life-long learning, and we can work toward strategies for creating and sustaining good jobs with portable benefits. We need organizations that value investors of human capital -- their employees -- as highly as they do investors of financial capital, and we need a renewed labor movement to give workers a stronger voice. Kochan lays out an agenda for working families in the twenty-first century that calls for business, labor, government, and workers to come together to make the changes that will allow us all to benefit from the new economy. The solution to our problems, he points out, is too important to be left to "the market."

by Shizha, Edward, Restoring The Educational Dream Rethinking Educational Transformation In Zimbabwe Books available in PDF, EPUB, Mobi Format. Download Restoring The Educational Dream Rethinking Educational Transformation In Zimbabwe books, The role of education in human well being and social development cannot be overestimated. After a number of highly commendable policies on education in the first decade of independence, the education system in Zimbabwe has taken a tumble that needs both examining and rectifying. This volume analyses the challenges facing the education system in Zimbabwe and explores and scrutinises theoretical and practical possibilities for restoring the educational dream that was initiated at independence in 1980. The book is targeted at academics, scholars, college and university students, policy makers and other stakeholders and advocates a multi-pronged approach that must involve all stakeholders if educational retransformation, reconstruction and restoration are to be achieved. The authors provide a range of recommendations for a project that would restore the educational dream in Zimbabwe.

Only the little genie, Pukah, remains in Syria; who is supposed to defeat the malicious Marid, Baschar al-Assad, and the evil Efreet, Islamic State, all by himself. Being a daydreamer, little Pukah is uncertain how he is supposed to defeat such mighty and evil opponents - especially since he's outnumbered two-to-one. So Pukah decides to enlist the aid of Archangel Azriel - so that they jointly can defeat the evil spirits. But there is one problem: Azriel is kind of stupid - at least Pukah thinks so. Being a cynical and disillusioned angel, Azriel is unable to appreciate the magic of the land, and hence sees no reason in restoring the Desert Dream in Syria. So Pukah and Azriel start bickering with each other, while the evil Efreet Islamic State continues to wreak havoc on the land...
